Shawls made in 2011 ............ Lattice Work Shawl (June 2011)
This shawl is made with regular worsted weight (4) yarn. Only about 1/2 the price of making one with the lovely Lion Brand Homespun yarn --- this was made with Caron "by the pound" yarn and used up the whole one pound of yarn but cost about $7.00 total.

Shawls made so far in 2011 .... And a couple at the end of 2010....
Here are the shawls (and some yarn photos) that I have made so far this year. Actually, there are a few more that left the house without being photographed --- it has been a busy 5 months of crocheting.
All rectangular shawls measure about 60+ inches in length (not counting the fringe)
and 18-22 or more inches wide

Pictured above my friend, Marge, helping with the red fringe.
While at a meeting in Iowa, I was sitting in the hospitality room and decided I could
crochet on a shawl while talking.
The ladies saw I was cutting the fringe for the red shawl and then tying knots in each piece - my friend, Marge, asked if she could help -- soon the rest wanted to help too - and as we finished the red one I began on another.
It was learned that one of our members wasn't there because she had been diagnosed with breast cancer and so it was decided that this lovely pink parfait shawl when finished, will go to her --- we cut all the fringe strips and everyone, men included knotted at least one strip so that everyone at the meeting added their love, thoughts and prayers to the shawl for her. It was so fantastic to see how the men all wanted to be sure and be a part too.

As of May 14, 2011 all have been finished except these two that I am currently working on.
Almost completed, a lovely pink Parfait multi color pink and the cheerful, bright, Candy Apple red one.
The Pink Parfait just needs fringe and the Candy Apple red is about 8 inches done.

The red shawls above was started as a knit shawl ---- it was taking me forever, so I undid all the knitting and crocheted it in just a few nights (see below) The color is truer in the top photo than in the bottom.
Finished April 30, 2011 while in Cedar Rapids, Iowa
The above 3 shawls were made in the fall of 2010
Above, a lighter - 4 ply worsted weight - in a different pattern
The above blue shawl was chosen by the chaplain at Sherman Hospital to
cover the table in the chapel/meditation room
